About Mastopexy
Mastopexy is used to harden and revive sagging breasts resulting from breastfeeding, slimming diets, ageing, etc. and, therefore, to give a new, nice neckline. It can be combined with augmentation mastoplasty.
In mastopexy, the procedure implemented is essentially the same as for reduction mastoplasty: the only difference lies in the fact that incisions are less extended, especially to mammary furrow. This surgery does not remove glandular tissue that is entirely preserved and modeled with incisions and internal sutures.
Excess skin is entirely removed.
If ptosis is not excessive, we can correct it leaving a circular scar around the areola. The procedure is the same as the one described for the breast reduction.
